The Marvelous Bee!

Photographing bees -- especially with a smartphone like my Pixel 9XL Pro -- is incredibly difficult. 

The only reason I managed this shot was because I spotted this bee during a hike on the Washington coast where there were almost no other flowers around.

Which meant this busy lad or lassie had to get every bit out of pollen they could reach. 

And that meant it stayed remarkably still for a very long time. Long enough for me to snap this picture!
