The Harsh Beauty of Qaqortoq, Greenland (30x40 cm / 12x16)

There is no denying that Greenland is beautiful. But in remote villages like Nanortalik that beauty requires you to work for it.

After walking past the town's colorful houses which bloom along the hillside like wildflowers, we did a wet and windy walk around a nearby lake. 

It wasn't enjoyable exactly, but the scenery felt like I'd truly arrived at the end of the world.
