Koh Ker, Angkor Wat's Hidden Pyramid (30x40 cm / 12x16)
A 2 1/2 hour drive from Siem Reap takes adventurous travelers to the hidden pyramid of Koh Ker deep in the jungles of Cambodia.
Much of the site remains inaccessible to visitors but the trip is worth it to see Koh Ker, the capital of the Khmer Empire 1000 years ago before it became forgotten to all by the locals who lived beneath its shadows.
Today, strangler figs cloak many of the structures and a climb to the top of the pyramid reveals the sprawling jungle that seems to be biding its time.
