Alaska's Glacier Bay -- One of the Most Beautiful Places in the World
When our cruise ship first headed into Alaska's Glacier Bay, the weather wasn't exactly auspicious. Grey, misty, overcast.
But as we sailed deeper into the fjord, the sky began to clear.
And then the magic happened.
There was no wind, so the water stayed perfectly still. It changed from blue to green to emerald and turquoise and back again.
That stunning water reflected the sky and the clouds, and the steep mountain slopes covered with forest and snow.
Small chunks of ice dotted the water, adding to the otherworldly feel of the place.
I can honestly say it was one of the best days of my life.
